Do Not Eat List

so, i ate at the Golden Dragon on Lonsdale and 13 Street for the first time tonight. my recommendation is that no one repeats this mistake! it was utterly disgusting!

if anyone else has any other places they would like to recommend to stay away from, please post here.

Thanks for starting this thread....I personally don't want to attack any restaurant and I don't know if we are allow to do so on this forum. I'll just visit this place and read what you guys have..

^i'm not sure that there are rules against this thread....yet...

we'll just have to be mature and objective in our criticism of restaurants. i don't want anyone to go out of business because i started this. i'm just giving a warning about this one restaurant because the food was....terrible (even though it doesn't begin to describe it)

Here's my "Do Not Eat List"
http://www.foodinspectionweb.vcha.ca/Nav-Main.htm

Unfortunately I do check every restaurant I plan to go to.

Unfortunately it usually comes down to who has the least reports of rodent droppings. Somehow nearly all of them do.

No problem with this thread.

Hmm... well I hate noodle box on fourth because it's oily and disgusting. Hate might be a strong word... but I would prefer not to go there ever again. I'm sure many others here would be against me tho =P

Crave on Main.....food "looked" good, but unfortunately we never ate it because we got it an hour after we ordered. Even after we complained about the wait time, both the waitress and manager became extremely defensive, started to argue with us and actually said we were wrong!!! Rule number one for restaurant owners/management, the customer is ALWAYS right! Even if they're wrong! (In this case we were not wrong). For that horrible waste of time I will never eat there again.

This rant was not so much about the food but the utter lack of customer appreciation. No apology, no gift cert, nothing. I like restaurants that actually appreciate the fact that people have chosen them, rather than us appreciating them, which was definitely the case that night.

Noodle Box really suck. We have some here too and the food is oily, tasteless and salty.

Other average food counters: Thai express, Sushi Shop, Sukiyaki.

Strangely, I found out they are all owned by the same company:

oh! i know for a fact that i am neglecting the Central City Brewhouse at Surrey Central Mall!!!

the waitress there tried to scam myself and others out of money by saying we dined and dashed. ugh! the general manager realized that we were guests of the band that night and oddly found the money to cover our tab! i featured her in out "idiot of the week" thread in General Discussion

Central City is awesome. While the waitresses are generally douchebags, the food comes fast, is always tasty, and they make good beer. A heck of a lot better than Steamworks and their terrible service.

Is there any good Chinese food in North Vancouver? I haven't tried any of the restaurants yet.

Look no further! My absolute favorite restaurant is Woon Lee Inn. The best Chinese food in the entire World... except for maybe in China.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...h&z=17&iwloc=A

Everything is amazing there. Spring Rolls, Ginger Beef / Chicken, Chicken Balls, Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Wonton Soup, Mongolian Beef, Almond Chicken, Lemon Chicken...

I am not ashamed to order the whole menu every time I go.
