It makes me think...if new funding comes, from the federal or provincial governments beyond what is expected, would it be better spent on Phase 3 of the LRT, or on the road projects that didn't make the cut?

Overall I was a bit disappointing that the cam didn't went into many of the subdivisions - just staying on the main roads. Several older neighborhood have been more extensively been updated such as Bridlewood, but large areas of residentials streets of Barrhaven and Orleans were not updated. Findlay Creek had no updates at all.

Those condos on Longfields (Ampersand?) in Barrhaven really do add some density to the neighbourhood. For a suburban arterial road they actually add some nice street presence too, with the homes facing the street and their driveways/parking lots hidden in the back. I like it from Longfields. The development of single homes on the east side however...do people not care about backyards anymore?

Still absolutely nothing going on with the Chelsea Creek project. What is going on right there with those heavy delays? It will be almost 10 years that this project was discussed. Only the commercial building was built but zippo houses. Same goes for the other project further closer to Highway 105

Also have added additionnal Google Street View links in the past couple of weeks around edges of new subdivisions - such as Half Moon Bay been seen from Barnsdale Road now (because of trees and some mounds it is not visible yet from Cedarview or the 416)

Just got word from the City approval has been granted for Minto Quinn's Pointe community on Greenbank near Barnsdale. Wow Minto is swinging the big bat

There will be 477 residential units which include 219 single-detached, 190 street townhouses and 68 back-to-back townhouses. There will be a neighborhood park and a school block as well as a permanent storm pond.

I say in about 6-8 years, the entire stretch of Greenbank will be filled up to Prince of Wales. It already says new Barrhaven south of Barnsdale Road on Google Maps

I very much think so. I was at the Tamarack Sales Centre in Barrhaven South (the Meadows is the name of the community) last weekend and the sales rep told us Tamarack is here for the long haul. He expects Tamarack to continue building for at least 8 more years (they are still in Phase 2 of the Meadows).

Tamarack owns land along Cambrian all the way to the 416 and is sandwiched between 2 Mattamy communities (Half Moon Bay and Half Moon Bay South). Mattamy itself is ramping up with new releases as well.

The whole area will look vastly different 5 years from now with the re-aligned Greenbank, new business park on Strandherd and the 416 and a big shopping plaza at the new Greenbank/Cambrian.

It has been very slow to develop though this project isn't? I think that was mentionned even before the N-S LRT cancellation fiasco which was supposed to pass through this project

Minto will have their grand opening for Quinn's Pointe, a new community on Greenbank (close to Barnsdale) next week. I think that is where their focus will be for the foreseeable future, with respect to Barrhaven development.

They closed their Chapman Mills sales office this weekend. Between that and their smaller project in Ampersand, I am guessing they must have built close to 3,000 units (single, semi, traditional townhouses, terrace townhouses, condos) in a period of 10+ years...Impressive feat!
