Anyone know if there will be a livestream of the convention online?

I'm from St. John's and I'm sad to say that I'm that big of a loser that I'm more excited about this convention then the vast majority of British Columbians.

According to CTV BC they will be live-streaming the convention here:

http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/l...shColumbiaHome

BTW, as of 10:30 this morning, ~30,000 of 90,000 members had already cast their vote online and apparently people love this new voting system.

Thanks.
I noticed CTVBC has a 2 hour news tonight so that's probably the convention I guess, so I should be able to watch it on tv.

I found it interesting that some of the other contenders were hammering Clark on her refusal to commit to running if she didn't win. They seemed to take that as an admission she'd return to 'NW. I wonder if she's thinking of another shot at the NPA mayoral slot if she doesn't land the big job...

All three of the top contenders would be OK in my book, since none of them are the departing snake oil salesman currently holding the job.

Falcon gets things done, I give him that. If he can resist straying into Gordo's brand of shysterism, he'd be OK.

I see that turd John van Dongen says he might quit if Clark wins - Go Christy!

They call her the premier-designate but I believe it is possible that she may not become premier. She's not elected so I don't believe she can be sworn in as premier, or can she?

I am disappointed too. I hope Christy can work with the caucus to come up with some good policies.
Will wait to see what she means by "Change", "Open" government and "Family First" platform.

Being the political geek I am I have to say that the BC Liberals for me I think are the perfect party, I have doubts that she can hold the party together. It's quite possible the BC Conservatives may be the next party. One MLA has already said he'll likely resign if Christy becomes leader.

I'm pretty sure that she can be, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to run.

Usually an MLA will resign to allow their leader to run in a by-election. Christy can not sit in the legislature unless she is elected to it. She says she wants to go to an election right away, so will she go to an election without being officially sworn in as premier or will she have an MLA step down to let her run or will she run in Gordon Campbell's seat?
