Sharp building....the Stoneleigh P across the street has always been a very popular place to hang out.

Time to bring this fabulous Uptown/Downtown Dallas residential skyscraper project, The Residences at the Stoneleigh, back into a current construction status.

The economic downturn of a couple of years unfortunately halted the initial construction at 10 of its 22 floors for the skyscraper.

The image above of the tower now back under construction, from March 30, 2012, is courtesy of Maconahey. He had driven by the site the end of last month and shot the image.

Maconahey reported: Drove by yesterday and the crane is up and the site very active. Glad to see this one start up again!

Looking good Dallas!

Glad to see this back online. Should give a shot in the arm to that area. And the Stoneleigh P may be a bit more lively.

As an aside, and somewhat unrelated story, I stayed at the Stoneleigh a couple years ago, and as I was checking in saw one of the most beautiful escorts (it was obvious she was an escort) leaving the building. At about 7:30 p.m. Made me seriously think about running to an ATM.

Yes, we are all very happy to see this one back online!

There for awhile people were wondering would it spring back to life but with the surging Dallas economy, with its continuing hefty job gains and steady population growth, and the continuing boom of Uptown/Downtown Dallas and Central Dallas in general as the "it" place to live the project has returned to life!

LOL concerning your comment of the beautiful escort leaving the Stoneleigh Hotel!

Dallas does have its pretty women, that is for sure despite the idiotic stereotypes on all of the Dallas based films that have been on TV! If you have ever been at the valet parking at the circular drive to the Ritz Carlton in Uptown during evening party hours to see the incredible babes lined up there, it is a sight to behold!

from Simtropolis, property of NDEX

I thought Hotel Stoneleigh sounded familiar, and this is why. I never noticed until today that the SC4 version was indeed based off this project. Still though it predates the first post in this thread by three years, so this must be an old project?

For a moment there I thought life was imitating art haha

HEY!!!! That's my building! hahahaha

(I'm "eburress" from Simtropolis)

I BAT'ted (i.e., built the 3D model in the Building Architect Tool, which was a dumbed-down version of 3D Studio Max) my version of the Stoneleigh a year or two before it actually started construction the first time.

Yes, there was a "hiccup" in the Stoneleigh's financing and the building only just resumed its construction.

You're from Simtropolis? I have quite a few of your buildings in my cities.

Boring design and it meets the street terribly

Nice to see Dallas getting another high rise though...

Hilarious that there was a Simtropolis design of this building.
