Silk Road is the signature restaurant inside Vdara. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Cup inside Crystals is open. It's a quick serve deli spot.

Unfortunately, the new Wolfgang Puck restaurants in Crystals won't open until Dec. 16. Otherwise, Vdara is connected to Bellagio, which has a large array of dining options.

Also... as far as I know Twist, MOzen Bistro and Amore Patisserie at Mandarin Oriental are open for business. Beso is also open inside Crystals. Vdara does have great access to Bellagio though and their restaurants give any place in town a run for their money.

I have seen some of their other plans before. I guess they want to target military personnel and veterans. Honestly seems a bit odd to me.

I went to citycenter this weekend to poke around. It was all pretty fun. However, if your going, you should be aware that Mandarin Oriental has a dress code. They won't even let you in the doors unless you are wearing proper attire. My wife and I were stopped at the doors. We weren't dressed poorly, just not dressed up. I was wearing leather shoes, blue jeans and a dress shirt. I'm looking forward to going there agian when Aria opens.

that wasnt acceptable??? so basically no jeans allowed in the whole place? that seems ridiculous.

Not really. People always used to dress up when going to the casino's. If an upscale Casino wants that, then they should be allowed to do it. They are trying to appeal to a slightly different clientele.

It is ridiculous considering I cant think of another casino on the strip that currently employs such a dress code. A nice pair of designer jeans, collared shirt and dress shoes is acceptable wear anywhere these days. I think that policy will quickly change when some billionaire whale wants to visit wearing a nice pair of jeans.

No hats, gym shoes, or ripped jeans, fine. But I shouldnt have to put on a pair of black pants or a suit just to go there. that is retarded.

I remember Bellagio had a business casual dress code when it first opened but that didn't last very long. Also, I don't know if you'd call it a dress code but Wynn had a policy of no strollers on the premises. I don't think that is enforced any longer although I believe the signs are still posted at the entrances.

I though it was a little odd myself. The guard did tell me it was my blue jeans that prevented me access.

I stayed at the MO in Honalulu and they had no such dress code.

I'll be surprised if dress code thing is still around six months. It'll be hard to keep tourists out of shorts when the 110 temps start hitting.

It's also too bad because I always felt one of the thing that made Vegas kinda cool and unusual, was the fact you could show up for fine dinning in shorts and a t-shirt. I never did, but I liked that the option was available. I felt it kept the city unpretentious.

Anyhow, like someone said, the MO is going for a different type of clientele.
Oh well.

bellagio and wynn still inforce the no stoller policy - butonly for non-guests.

also when bellagio first opened no one under the age of 18 was allowed on property what so ever - this only lasted a couple months tho (weeks maybe)

There are dress codes at many restaurants in Las Vegas resorts, usually what they call "casual business attire", and some of the ritzier restaurants, like Alex at Wynn, say "no casual attire, jackets suggested".
