I'll give Michigan this: At least you people keep track of and update your Department of Corrections web page for developments regarding prisoner reentry initiatives. I wish I could say the same for Kansas. Haven't gotten to Ohio yet (all three are at the forefront of prisoner reentry and reintegration).

On the plus side, MARK's no longer an admin or has any mod powers, so at least we have that going for us, but resurrecting threads that saw little to no activity for months gets kind of ridiculous.

It's a really windy day today. Our office is on the 12th floor of a 36-story building. You can hear the beams in the walls creaking. The lights hanging in front of my desk are slightly swaying back and forth. Sounds like I am inside one of those old pirate ships you see in the movies. I've worked in this bldg 16 years now and you never get used to it.

See what happened to it in 2006 when a big storm hit....

Then....

Justin Bieber may be the first lesbian in history to oppose abortion for rape victims

looks like quite an improvement, moby.

the continuing story of my dumbass coworkers:

i was talking with this girl, the same one that didn't know where seattle was, about tipping in restaurants and a recent experience i had with a $200 bill, when she says....
her: 20% is $8, i checked the last time i was at a restaurant.
me: yeah, on a $40 bill... i'm talking about a $200 bill.
her: well it's still $8 right?
me: .................................................................it's based on the bill.
her: are you sure?
me: yes. it's a percentage.
her: *confused and not believing me*

-_-

she also always has to ask me what to price override $15 items to if they're supposed to be half price.

how can people be so dumb?

Hey, I haven't posted in that thread for a long time.
At least I had nothing nice to say about Master Bieber.

Man. It seems like every time I go to the SSP forum homepage Pueblo is the most recent post in the United States section. I must be really missing out on some important developments there.

(thinks about actually reading the thread to pull something out of context and then thinks better of it)

Am I a bad person for enjoying (in the most morbid way possible) watching the Texas forumers freakout because a few of their cities "only" had a shit-load of growth instead of a bat-shit insane level of growth? lol On the other end of the spectrum, you have a few Chicagoans at the first stage of the "five stages of grief".

BTW, buckeye, you can stop begging for Canadians to bash the United States in skybar. They get it, and we get it; I'm proud of them for not taking the sad bait.

^You should read the Canadian census threads. Or better yet, the Canadian crime statistics thread.
