Did anyone know that the original 3 WTC had a different design before it was built?

Here's the original design for the hotel: https://archpaper.com/2009/01/wtc-model-to-nyc/
The picture from the first link is from the person "William Menking".

Here's another picture of the original design: http://www.archfoundation.org/2013/1...easures-grant/
The picture from the second link is from the website "American Architectural Foundation".

Here's what the original shape of the hotel was on the original World Trade Center complex map looked like before it was built: https://www.awesomestories.com/asset...ter-Complex//1
The picture from the third link is from the website "AwesomeStories".

Now here's what the final design of the hotel looked like: http://911research.wtc7.net/wtc/evid.../wtc3pre1.html
The picture from the fourth link is from the website: "9-11 Research".

Here's another picture of the final design: https://arthurgoldwag.wordpress.com/.../11/500-posts/
The picture from the fifth link is from the person: "Arthur Goldwag" (or from the website) "WordPress.com".

Now here's what the original complex map looked like with the final 3 WTC design: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...lighted%29.jpg
The picture from the six link from the website "Wikimedia Commons".

While I prefer the final design of the hotel to the old one, I wonder why they changed the shape of it. I'm talking about how the south end of the original hotel having a small L shape at the end of it. In the final design, they got rid of that for unknown reasons. I think having the L shape at the end of the hotel would've made it look better being between the Twin Towers.

Unfortunately that doesn't really matter anymore since the hotel and the Twin Towers got destroyed along side with the rest of the World Trade Center complex on September 11, 2001.

Building programs change. What was thought to be needed in the early 70s wasn't necessarily so in the early 80s. Also, the finished hotel didn't end up being designed by Yamasaki or Roth&Sons. It ended up being SOM. Stylistically by that point, the architectural world had moved on a bit. Frankly after looking at the original model, I'm surprised it didn't end up with some stupid contrived mansard roof. Kudos to SOM for designing something sleek and understated so as to not take away from the original complex.
