My ambivalence towards this building is no more. Love it!

Always liked it, but I'm getting severe vertigo just looking at Staff's photo...

Beautiful building. Whoever said that it looks best from above definitely wasn't wrong.

One of the best. The spire on this building is one of the coolest ones on the planet.

Does anyone know the height of the atrium? I've always wondered about that. It looks insane.

It's 300'+ at least. The hotel lobby (bottom of the atrium) is on the 56th floor and the last hotel rooms are on the 86th. Staff's photo is from that 86th floor (I think he took it when I was staying there, you can't get up there without a room key).

You can get up there no problem without a room key. You have to switch elevators on the 86th floor to get up to Cloud 9 on the 87th floor. I often show people the atrium when they come to visit.

^For some reason I had thought it took a key (perhaps I was still drunk?)

Nonetheless, it's a fantastic space.

Still lamenting the loss of the rooftop bar across the street? That was a great place.

Yeah, it's no problem getting up there without a key. That being said though, I did indeed take that photo when plinko was in town.
