It's a unique mixed-use building and the very LAST thing Downtown Edmonton needs is razing more buildings, reducing residents and removal of more affordable commercial spaces.

Really, Cold? Replacing a strip mall with a park extension is the last thing downtown needs?
Your Canmore rural roots are showing.

Check yourself on this one my friend.

While I'd prefer the parking at the rear, these are smaller scale CRUs, potential live-work units, lofts and provide a good amount of activity to the area.

Could their 'front yard' be improved and more urban, sure, but we need people, businesses, destinations and housing.

^ once downtown gets out of the ER and starts to get back to pre-COVID times... or at least as near as possible, that building needs to go. But as of right now? I agree with Ian (pukes a lil)

In the grand scheme of things that building and its parking lot doesn't have much of a material impact on how most of us 'experience' downtown. I would argue that f*cking around with this building would be priority 1,567,344 on the list.
