You have given us incorrect numbers. The link that you posted indeed has your growth numbers. But the link is to municipal numbers and that is what you posted. Follow my link and you will find the MSA growth numbers. This is all very easy to verify.

It's best not to interact with trolls, guys.

Their jealousy incites them solely to provoke and argue.

It's best to post accurate and honest numbers. It would also be a good idea to do some fact-checking before turning to name-calling.

DallasMetropolis update:

CTroyMathis has contributed a considerable amount of funding to fix the forum's problem, which even baffled technicians.

The site currently has a placeholder image and the following statement:

"DallasMetropolis.com is in the midst of urban renewal."

The Case Building has dramatically transformed the landscape of that area of Deep Ellum. I can imagine that we will see a lot more highrise apartments, possibly even skyscrapers, going up in this area in the not too distant future.

I expect high rises in Deep Ellum, but probably not to a very significant extent. There is a heigh limit as it lies directly under the main runway approach line for Love Field, hence the gap of buildings under 350ft between Chase Tower & Cityplace Tower.

I expect to see lot more high-rises going up in Deep Ellum, The Design District, and Knox-Henderson as well since uptown really is for the most part filled and expensive. However beyond just the height restrictions, these areas do not seem like the best spots for taller skyscrapers as they would be out of scale when comparing to the more closed in and neighborly feel of these areas. For example although I like the Cityplace Tower besides it having a cool look, it along with the huge AT&T building do not blend or fit in at all with the surrounding area. The Cedars and Southern CBD however seem like they would be perfect areas for skyscrapers, as they are currently further behind on their development path and are still primarily industrial. Plus with AT&T's announcement, this area will likely get a lot more investor interest in the future.

Drug firm to add more than 1,000 jobs with new $113M Carrollton campus
Candace Carlisle
October 19, 2016

Quote:
AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group has decided to consolidate its North Texas workforce within a new $113 million, 40-acre campus in Carrollton, which will also make room for the company to add more than 1,000 employees.

The Pennsylvania-based wholesale drug company had been looking for a new regional home for several months until it found a new home at the Offices at Austin Ranch at Parker Road and Plano Parkway in Carrollton.
Quote:
“This will grow their workforce by a third,” Roy told me. “They will initially bring 1,184 employees to the new facility in 2019 with another 800 employees coming in a second wave in the next two to three years.
Quote:
Carrollton expects AmerisourceBergen will employ up to 3,023 workers and the city’s economic development group plans to offer the firm up to $1.9 million in grant money for the workers.

Dallas apartment builder heads to Fort Worth with first Panther Island project
Steve Brown
October 20, 2016

Quote:
Encore Multi-Family LLC will build the first private development in the ambitious Panther Island mixed-use project near downtown Fort Worth.

Encore plans to construct a 300-unit apartment community called Riverwalk, which will be located in the development on the Trinity River.

The 5-story rental community is planed with waterfront balconies, waterfalls and a top floor lounge with views of downtown.

The project at Fourth and North Main streets will be on a network of interconnected canals that run throughout the island and are planned for water kayaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards.

"We carefully studied the Riverwalk in San Antonio and worked closely with the Trinity River Vision Authority Design Committee to combine the organic feel beloved in San Antonio with Fort Worth's distinct culture to create a one-of-a-kind living experience," Brad Miller, President of Encore Multi-Family, said in a statement. "We have designed community spaces along the Riverwalk to give our residents a true outdoor living room experience that will promote the active outdoor lifestyle that's central to Panther Island."
Quote:
Construction is scheduled to start next summer with an opening in 2018.

Riverwalk is planned as the first apartment community to break ground in the Panther Island District, which is planned for more than 10,000 residences along 12 miles of urban waterfront.

Dallas Holocaust Museum to begin capital campaign to build new museum
Candace Carlisle
October 20, 2016

Quote:
The Dallas Holocaust Museum and Center for Education and Tolerance plans to kick off a large capital campaign to fund a new museum in downtown Dallas next week.
Quote:
"We wanted this to be an engaging facility," Scott Hall, principal and director of design for Dallas-based Omniplan, told the DBJ in 2015. "We want to share a very personal story that gets people's attention and shows you the real people impacted by the Holocaust."

The design of the new facility — which could find a permanent home in the West End, across from the museum's current location — will help create a narrative that shows the journey of the many who experienced the Holocaust, he said.

The U-shaped building will include an exhibition area that turns into a reflective area in the courtyard outside the museum in the neighborhood bounded by Ross Avenue, Houston Street and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit light.

The building will include an approved metal for the West End, which will set it apart from the other buildings in the neighborhood that are primarily brick, Hall said.
Quote:
The museum also plans to unveil new renderings of the facility next week.

Is that the temporary forum they built while we wait for the old/real one to come back online, or is this now replacing the old forum?
