New construction of a food hall and twin pavilions at 18th and Grand will bring groceries and more than 500 underground parking spaces to Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District. Hollis + Miller Architects.

this is a photo of midtown KC, every one of those tree's are in someone's yard. there are trees literally everywhere in KC.

Nice view of Midtown!
I travel from LA to KC for business and have been walking and exploring Kansas City's neighborhoods in my free time (and when the weather allows). There are some beautiful ones -- not just Downtown and Midtown.

The design of the first apartment building in MAC Properties planned $78 million Armour Corners redevelopment won support from the City Plan Commission Wednesday.

This will be the first of the 4 corners

becuase that is the footprint of what is currently there, i read somewhere that they are looking to put a parking garage there for the apartments and the theater next door. my guess is that they ran out of funding but they still want to do it within the next few years.

Copaken Brooks, H&R Block and Ron Jury Plan 25 Floors, 250,000SF spec office building in the Power and Light District.

This will be built on top of the Joseph A. Bank building, which was designed to accommodate a future tower. This is the first new office building since 1991 and will begin Next fall.

This was posted by the Last Gentleman on the KCRag showing the Strata Tower in the skyline. Personally, I think it will be slightly taller. On another note, some people are saying that this will be fully leased before it opens.
