One of the few times the actual building looks better than the rendering. Very impressed by this project.

Whew. I was worried about this side because it didn't appear in the renders, and not only is it not worst case scenario, but in fact it's damned good.

All the interior and common space renders here look terrific. I haven't seen any apartment renders, I don't think, but it seems to me like this will be an upgrade to the rental market. Among the highest end places in Rittenhouse?

Yesterday: (surprisingly good impact in the skyline from this vantage)

Not quite sure why they chose a different facade look for the North side versus the South Side? The North Side looks very disconnected and odd, almost too smooth. I think the South side looks great.

Agree. While I think the Chestnut Street side looks fine independently, I would have preferred the more ornate cladding on the entire tower. The idea was probably to mirror the limestone base. But the tower is set back, and I see no reason why it needed to.

Mike Solomonov and Steve Cook Plan an All-Day Cafe for Rittenhouse

Read more at https://www.phillymag.com/foobooz/20...M6jDuYcPhlY.99

Quote:
Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook have inked a deal to bring a new all-day cafe in one of Rittenhouse’s new luxury mixed-use developments. They’ll open the as-yet-unnamed concept in the residential entrance of the Harper, a 24-floor building at 19th and Chestnut Streets in the space formerly occupied by the historic Boyd Theater.

It also appears that CookNSolo has a new “Zahav-like” concept in the works at 1301 North Howard Street in Kensington, if details that emerged over the summer are true.
