^ Nice sunset shot ! It looks to be around 400 ft. now with another 468 feet to go. Another 12 stories and Miami would have it's first super tall.

Miami's Tallest Tower on the Rise

Quote:
Miami's tallest building currently under construction is already making a statement on the Miami skyline. Located at 1101 Brickell Avenue, the tower is a mixed-use development expected to cost over $800 million. Developed and designed by Florida East Coast Realty, the 822-foot building will contain 83 storeys of residential, hotel, and office space. 821 luxury apartments, 208 hotel rooms, 100,000 square feet of medically oriented office space, and 50,000 square feet of luxury retail space will be housed in the tower. As the tallest residential building on the eastern seaboard south of New York, Panorama tower will become an icon on the Miami skyline.

Panorama Tower Crane Approved At 1,049 Feet, Lower Than Requested

Quote:
Panorama Tower’s crane will be slightly shorter than contractors had been hoping for.

Contractors for the tower had requested FAA permission for the crane to reach a height of 1,060 feet above ground, or 1,065 feet above sea level. The agency issued a ruling last week stating that the cranes would present a hazard to air navigation at that height.

Instead, the crane will be permitted to rise 1,044 feet above ground, or 1,049 above sea level. The FAA has approved multiple permanent structures around downtown Miami at that height.

Panorama Tower is under construction, and will top off at 868 feet above ground or 876 feet above sea level. The planned of the tower was increased after construction began, leading to the new application for a taller crane.
