I think it's pretty hard to fault Absolute. It isn't a high end project and the spandrel, while looking ugly up close adds highlights that actually flater Marilyn's curves (from a distance) I can't wait to see the full effect of the balcony glass!!

I'll agree with you about the lack of spandrel though.

Yeah, Absolute stands in as the perfect box and Trump is the cat's meow. Get a life. Maybe then you'll respect how too much cornicing and an unnecessary penthouse setback can ruin an otherwise awesome tower for some people.

BTW, I'm refering to the other twisty tower in the nation.

Time to take Festival off the list. Looks like early occupancy is underway eventhough the construction hoist remains up.

It's very modern. The top floor was a night club on New Years, and it lite up King Street. The Ground Floor is also well lite with the cafe, and the LED makes the street come alive. You need to be on King street to appreciate it.

I know you're talking about Vancouver, but there's 3 twisty buildings, which one? All 3 of them have the stupid setbacks tho

If it's to the fact that Absolute, being a suburban condo built with inferior materials, probably made good money despite its curves, then I agree too. You have no idea how easy it is to build in Mississauga.

Absolute's design is something totally new to canada. it mixes things up. the fact that it's built in mississauga doesn't mean a thing.

For some reason, the bell lightbox has always reminded me of an art gallery or museum of some sort. it's not bad looking at all.

I made my way to Missy yesterday for the sole purpose of seeing the Absolute towers. I was not dissapointed! My only criticism would be how anti urban that neighborhood is. It is more like a gated community and the new towers dont really change that fact at all. Ok enough talk, here are the pics that I took:

I hope you're enjoying your visit to the GTA. Lots of skyscraper construction here.
