the glamour shot.

indeed viewguysf.
the interesting part:your latest picture of jasper is the "glamour shot" side of the building...ie., it's best side.
in addition, your picture almost exactly matches the thumbnail for it on this site.(the thumbnail being the artist rendering)

which is why i think the city should take the 50 first street/ foster tower to task, making sure the back (west face) matches the wonderful front (east face).

who wants just another crappy, cheap elevator core on the backside of the building facing us in the city.

I missed an opportunity to get a shot of this from a better location; Jasper actually looks somewhat interesting from this angle and when you can't see all of it!

Yes, it looks much better when 95% of it is covered up!

This is also the best angle for its top.

Adding to the loveliness--insult to injury?

Even their signage is tacky, including the banner plastered across the building on the other side that I see.

On a lark I signed up for a rental several months ago, basically indicating I might be interested in living there once the building was complete. They contacted me a few weeks ago and informed me the low end of their 1 bedroom apartments started around $5200/mo. So...I won't be living there, I guess.

5200/mo on the low end for 1br? To state the obvious...that's insane. I don't even think the surrounding Rincon apartments are that high. It's probably more like 4000-5000/mo. Does Jasper have huge floor plans or some crazy amenities?

You get a view that doesn't include Jasper.
