The only reason I posted those was to show the selective memory of certain forumers.

You're probably right.

However, this is politics and the manchild is fair game.

A portion of Canada's population votes for a guy to be the Prime Minister of Canada whos utterly and unequivocally not qualified or competent to be a leader of a country like Canada.

This is what you get....Unbridled backlash.

Just sayin' that BlackStar acting like Harper never dressed embarrassingly is pretty disingenuous. The difference is seems is that Trudeau genuinely seems to enjoy it whereas Harper looked like an uncomfortable cat in a costume. I will grant you that.
I would hope that Harper's too tight cowboy outfit was designed to stop the ridiculous urban cowboy look that has taken a hold of federal MP's at the Calgary Stampede.

I would suspect most of them would faint if a dollop of cow shit stained their designer jeans.

For ref:
Real cowpersons (2018 and all)

And the fake variety

Don't even get me started on the whole one week a year cowboys and their ridiculous outfits. I hate that fake cowboy bullshit. I also hate country music. I especially hate the stupid "Get'r Done!" fake cowboy mantras you hear from corporations in Calgary. That also is coded sometimes as "can-do" attitude.

Clearly it's because of poutine.

Easy to access land border.

It's not really "illegal" crossings if they're refugee claimaints as our laws allow for border-crossers to make a refugee claim; it would only be illegal if they entered without making a claim, or tried to stay in the country after such a claim was rejected.

It's fairly easy to access that border crossing from the Bos-NY-Wash corridor, where many of the asylum seekers were living before. From the NYC area it's a "straight shot" up the I-87 corridor with multiple transportation options.

All of Ontario's borders with the U.S. involve crossing a body of water. (There may be one or two remote exceptions but they are not accessible.)
