I was able to get up to the ninth floor of the Executive Hotel in downtown Vancouver and get a nice overview of the Vancouver House tower and site. The last pic shows the other two triangular chunks of the site (with white cranes) between the Granville Bridge and the ramps.

Awesome update.

Hands down the coolest tower project currently U/C in Canada right now.

Love the design and love the integration with the bridge / ramps.

Never get tired of seeing pics of this project.

My main pet peeve is with how the dramatic form gets buried in the podium as it lands on the site. The thinnest part of the tower isn't even visible, so they could've saved themselves a bit of structural engineering and straightened the thing out from level 12 downwards and no one would've noticed. Wish they moved the density over to the middle parcels and built a small office tower instead

That thought has actually crossed my mind too, but this project is still 99% for me so far.

"We took a radical approach to the design process by engaging the community in at the earliest opportunity," said 3XN co-founder Kim Herforth Nielsen. "In fact, this was before our team had even started to sketch ideas."

"Inviting the public into the design process proved to be a powerful resource and have made significant contributions to the project we couldn't otherwise have achieved," he added.

"After the first meeting with the community it was clear to us that we had to design something that could animate the corner of Church and Wellesley."
Oh shit, really? Wow what a novel idea! And here I thought we're supposed to put the storefronts in the alley and have blank walls facing the street corner!

Completely oblivious on the project you've quoted but still arrogant as fuck. End result. Looking like a fool once again. LOL Don't ever change.

Asparagus, carrots... I've seen watermelon and pineapple, too. It's advertising for the public market on Granville Island.

It's in London, but a quick update on the Newfoundland - it was profiled on the radio here, oh God, more than a year ago I think.
