Parts of Don Valley look like a landfill, trail runner warns

Quote:
The Don Valley is one of Toronto's most prized outdoor spaces, but one runner who frequents the area is issuing a stark warning: "our trails are dying."

Lawrence Warriner, one of the organizers behind Don't Mess With the Don, says the valley's trail system has reached a crisis point as huge amounts of residential garbage — from Coke cans to cigarette packs to discarded shoes — continues to be thrown onto its wooded slopes.

He wants city hall to come up with a restoration plan for the valley, complete with the funding to get it done.

I’m so sick of conservatives cheating and playing dirty. At least he lost his job from 407etr and resigned as a candidate but the probe needs to extend to the PC party itself. You know that they are pulling some Cambridge Analytica style BS with this.

I suspect that the media will not pursue this story to its conclusion.

This is just for Molson....if you didn't already have a reason to stay away from the TV on Saturday morning to watch the nuptials, the fact that Ben Mulroney's kids are involved seals the deal. As I think has been mentioned on this board, he has a face that you want to smack and I'm sure they are going to spin this for days on that show he is on, Entertainment To-hype Canada.
I don't really care if his kids get the royal treatment, but I still can't stand this guy, Mr. BM, Monsieur Onctueux .

Honestly, her ability to scoop it all up and toss in one motion shows some impressive technique. Definitely not her first rodeo.

This creep used to be a customer at my work. I always felt uncomfortable around him, and now it's obvious why. I remember the controversy last year when he changed his Facebook page (he blames natives for it closing but it's because he became a crazy Trump Thumper and drove away all his customers). I had no idea about all the other crazy shit.

I never thought he was gay but the photo of him with the limp wrist is hilarious considering he's a homophobe and would probably insult someone for standing in that exact pose.

Almost funnier than the HPV / HIV question is this part:

In one anecdote he said: "When I walked in, his first sentence kind of threw me off. He said: 'Trump hears that you don't like what Trump is doing.'
He also knew a creepy amount of detail about how Bill Gates' daughter looked.

Bathurst and Lawrence. Had to go there today for work. What a disaster of an intersection like so many in the city. Just a non stop, steady stream of cars, trucks and buses. Also allowed to park in in the right lane on one side just metres from the intersection.

I can't quite grasp why people pay the $1m to $3m price tags for relatively modest homes in very meh looking neighbourhoods in the outer reaches of the city. Especially for homes with tiny driveways and yards that actually front onto a major road.

A guy was working on this today as I walked by. Had a hazmat suit on. Was removing something from the outside. Google streetview shows this former business? still looking the exact same a decade ago. That is, abandoned. I guess waiting to be redeveloped into an overpriced home?

Two lots over, two dentists side by side. Not necessarily ugly. But interesting.

I also find it interesting that around the corner there's two bagel shops side by side.

Well Toronto does love twins. Almost more than Calgary. Those twin bagel shops are just weird though.
