IMO, Downtown has the best skyline and aesthetics out of the many nodes.
Agreed, Lower Manhattan is arguably one of the best (in not, the best) skyline in the world in terms of aethstetics and architectural diversity. While it's hard to ignore how much better this could have been with the spires, height cut, and cross bracing, it's still a fine addition to the city. Had it been proposed as is, I'm sure it would have been received more positivity. This has been stated before but I do wish it was a tad bit taller, it's just too close in height to 4 WTC and that really takes away from both towers.

It would appear this tower has been scaled-down from the original, which was according to the renderings nothing short of spectacular.
Tenant issues, 1WTC antenna/spire alterations and the ongoing scenario with 2WTC are the main culprits I suspect...
I've come to like the end result - 3 & 4 make a nice duo. It's amazing because both are massive structures yet they don't 'steal the show' and blend in so well with the Lower Manhattan skyline.

Global consulting giant McKinsey & Co. and developer Larry Silverstein just signed a 15-year lease for 186,000 square feet at Three World Trade Center, The Post has learned.
In November, The Post was the first to report the two parties were in talks.
The major lease-signing comes just weeks before the 80-story tower’s planned opening — scheduled for June. With McKinsey’s commitment, about 900,000 square feet of the skyscraper’s total 2.5 million square feet are leased.
The tower’s largest tenant is media giant GroupM, which is taking 700,000 square feet.
McKinsey will move about 900 executives from 55 E. 52nd St.
Terms weren’t revealed but asking rents at 3 WTC have been reported in the $80s per square foot.
