Have a friend who bought here a long time ago, said that they are being allowed to move in (lower floors) sometime in the next month or so

The first units were granted occupancy (and given keys) on Jan 25th.

Parking was $49,900, however, they just reduced it back to $39,900 late last week.

I'm living in this building right now and it's gorgeous even in its unfinished state.

Not by the looks of it, even the main entrance looks terribly unfinished.

I liked this building a lot more two years ago than I do now. It's funny how something unique can become something commonplace so fast. The charcoal brick attack on Ottawa has really soured my opinion. I still like this building with it's odd setbacks and proportions, but it's lost it's lustre for me now that I see 95% of buildings in the pipeline using the exact same materials and design language.

This is quite bad. Project was supposed to be a catalyst for revitalizing the area. That hasn't happened. Anyone remember when Farm Boy was supposed to move here? I assume that died when Sobeys bought Farm Boy and converted the Urban Fresh.

Is Catherine Street still slated to be converted to a complete street? Maybe that will help make this stretch more appealing for foot traffic because it certainly isn't right now.

Somehow even without commercial on the main floor, there is ALWAYS a vehicle idling in front of this building.

It is planned to be a complete street, but that is a fair ways off. The idea is to have bike lanes and wider sidewalks pretty much from Elgin to Bronson.

I know they were saying 10-15 years about 5 years ago, so maybe 5-10 years.

I noticed the other day that the LED strips are not really for outdoors, at least all the fasteners are rotting, and there are streaks of rust all over the place.

Was this light feature a deficiency from the builder, and now the Condo can't get them back to finish it?

This is a super bleak, unfinished, and frankly ugly street front. But its still better than the eastern portion of Catherine which looks like the sh*tty end of a factory town in Northern Ontario.
