You have labelled every street withen our North West as a likely destination for prostitution. Such is not the case. A woman standing alone on Ellice or Sargent can not automatically labelled; prostitute. There is a chance (which only increases once the sun dips below the horizon) that she may be a prostitute. There is one street/corner however where if a girl is standing by herself, she is almost without a doubt deem able as a self marketer, and that's along Sutherland and Main. This hypothesis is based off of the fact that no sane woman would stand on that street alone (especially at night) without a male escort. And also based upon the fact that this is where "hookers" do most of their business. Therefore.

girl standing on street = either prostitute or sane woman - sane woman = prostitute!

Here's a nice shot of Sutherland, take a look around that street, (no females to be found!)

u nailed that one prity good

i have seen them out in full force when i used to bike to tec voc up jarvis and then had to detrour onto southerland to get around the slovchuck witch the hookers tended to hang out under the bridge there also if u take a drive up jarivs between king and rb russle there a sign no cars after such and such time and this is for that reason... to keep the johns out the little enclave of housing there

Wow. That's just downright embarrassing for the city, giving a bad impression of our fair burg. And now a local Winnipegger posted this on the Canada google streetview page for all of Canada to see like it's something to be proud of; great. Does anyone else find that our city has a really bad reputation?

Ouch, that's downright brutal. Sure, there's a self-deprecating humour to it, but that's a Winnipeg citizen quality. What does this say about our city to others on the "outside".

Whatever their race, my comment would've still been the same. It doesn't showcase our city to "outsiders" well, regardless of the colour of skin. Don't forget, I'm native myself, so perhaps that explains my sensitivity to the photo.

Here here! I also would have not been impressed regardless of the race of these people. It just doesn't do Winnipeg justice. But then again, maybe some people are a little naive to this fact and think it's funny and want to "show it off", just like the guy who shit in the pot. Real classy.

I'm unsure of your race, but for me, there's only so much laughing I can do. After awhile, a person starts to feel embarrassed. I do what I can to help my people's image, but things like this really get to me.

With that said, I am starting to help the unfortunate, so maybe one day this'll all change.

i am Canadian thats what i am

one can only do so much laughing and then start to become embarised.
but what has to happen is the cycle needs to be broken witch could take genirations witch is sad cause no one is going to put a long term plan together to stick to

I actually found this link from another website, but okay.

Yeah, the humour can last for so long though. It is downright embarrassing after a while, but this is the reality when Google drops by and shows the unexpected.

I'm willing to bet that every city has a similar scene unfolding. Maybe Google Streetview has even captured it too. Be embarrassed but realize such scenes are not unique to Winnipeg.
