The design seems so messy, and yet it also looks quite simple. I guess I'll have to see a higher res picture of it to make a proper judgement.

^That was an old proposal. There are some people who have at least seen drawings of the new version and I'm guessing it will be much different since it is supposed to be taller (but SBC is still designing it).

Yeah, the rendering shown is an earlier massing study for what could be built on the site. Mandarin has different program needs, and thus needs a redesign to fit the usuage planned. No finished plans have been made public at this time, at least none that I know of.

Only the most basic of massing models (it's literally 2 blocks set side by side) but this is how Mandarin may fit in and further hide 2Pru.

Aqua is the Studio Gang tower at Lakeshore East. The boom thread or SSC has more info on this.

Steely, there could be a twin to Aqua also. The LSD plan has another parcel on Columbus that will be over 800 feet.

"richardsonhomebuyers" at SSC mentioned this building may now stand 1,017' tall. Can anyone confirm this?

well, richarsdonhomebuyer has proven that he has had access to accurate height drawings in the past, it's just that he wasn't able to properly read a drawing. now that he appears to have learned how to distnguish between a CCD height an an actual building height, i think we can take him at his word on the 1,017' figure, for now.

i will make the neccessary updates here and in the page 1 boom rundown list.

Updated massing model. MO is at 1017, Aqua is at 900. I have absolutely no idea what Aqua will look like baesides how big the lot it sits on is, so I basically made a 900 foot block covering the entire plot, there's no way it'll end up being that wide. There's a couple of new panos in the main thread which show the overall skyine impact.

Hopefully I wil get the opportunity to see the rendering of this tower next week. I will describe it as best as I can, because I don't think that I will be able to get a rendering of it anytime soon. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm going to also call SCB on tuesday to see what I can find out.
