NHL: 2015-2016 Season

Well Chicago's parade is over and there's free agency and the draft coming up so it's time to start talking about how all the teams are gonna improve going into next season.

Am I being uptight here? It's NHL. All caps.

Sure be nice if the NHL finally wised up and moved the arena-less Yotes to the hockey market of Quebec City and their nice new arena!

I agree. I typed in "NHL 2015-2016" but when it showed up on the list it changed to "Nhl 2015-2016" but at least it is the same as last years.

TSN (among others) claims that the Leafs want to trade Phaneuf.

I'm confused. I was told in no uncertain terms that he is one of the best D-Men in the league, and the only reason Flames fans had anything negative to say about him was that we were just bitter about being on the losing end of a bad trade.

What happened?

Who in the hell would ever say that? Dion had one good season in Calgary a decade ago.

He's not unfortunately, there's a delusional leafs fan (is there another kind?) who consistently argues Phaneuf is one of the top D-men in the league.

To replace Desjardins, or as an assistant?

Somehow the Flames have the most nominations at the NHL awards tonight. I think Hartley and Gaudreau will win, but it would be cool to see Gio and Hudler take home some hardware tonight too.

Too bad Gio got injured, he would have had a decent chance. Gaudreau is the obvious choice IMO. Hartley is a good candidate too but has good competition.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ekblad got the Calder, he was a force all year.

Lol. Might be what he needs. Take a step back and regroup his confidence with a major junior team.
