Well, all the articles said that it passed level 50 a couple days ago, but none of them said on how high that is.
Anyway, since the official height has never been released during construction of the thing,
it's safe to say that it is close, or already gone over, another milestone:

____#14: 1908 The Singer Building NY 612ft (187m) 47 floors
1909:

#13: 2008 Burj Dubai UAE
623.36ft / 190m 50 Levels

#14: 1908 Singer Building NY
612ft / 187m / 47 floors (Demolished)

#15: 1899 Park Row Building NY
391ft / 119m / 30 floors
#16: 1895 Milwaukee City Hall Wisconsin
353ft / 108m / 9 floors
#17: 1894 Manhattan Life Insurance Building NY
348ft / 106m / 18 floors
#18: 1890 New York World Building
309ft / 94m (Pinnacle 349ft / 106m) / 20 floors
#19: 1891 The Masonic Temple Chicago
302ft / 92 meters / 22 floors
#20: 1889 Auditorium Building Chicago U.S. -Sorry no link. Not in SSP diagram database-
269ft / 82m (Pinnacle 349ft / 106m) Emporis: 73 m / 238 ft / 17 floors
#21: 1876 St Pancras Chambers London UK
269ft / 82m / 6-9 floors
#22: 1868-76 Equitable Life Assurance office Building NY
142ft / 43m / 6-8 floors (Destroyed)

The thing is showing itself in the skyline now:

This pic is also a hint on how big/wide the skyline will get in 5-10 years

soon we shall have a July pic!!!!

Note: anyone notice the nice progress of the burj dubai mall next to the BD? It's a few stories.. and at least gives a little comfort to the mighty BURJ DUBAI. I can't wait until the whole city is done in 20 years... omg how much like a 'heaven on earth' it will look like!!!

Is it me? or is the Observatory too low for how tall the building is. Yes it is nice and high and you can see the whole city from it... but another point of an observatory is to see what it's like being up that high in the sky. I think it would be better if it was more like on floor 150 or so. You know?

^You're right, but I guess execs are paying for the top 1/4 of the building. After all, a 52 floor apt. goes for a cool $4m
