thanks for the update... great view of it.

This building seems to be moving pretty quickly.

Great shot as well. I love how just beyond this building there is block of old rowhomes still mostly intact from what I can see. That's what I love about Philly - the mix of old and small with the new and large.

Great shots. I like this one because it captures the bridge into Center City. And is that a surface parking lot I see on what should be prime riverfront land?

Nice photo man.

Enjoy those sunset views while they last because it looks like your future views are going to be of a giant glass wall.

No, The mandeville Lot was 2401 Walnut, back by the river next to that grarage in Mphilly's photo.

Sorry, you were correct, I was looking at the wrong photo.

Elston Window is supplying the glazing for the tower. Check out this link to look at similar work they're doing: www.elstonwindow.com/projects.htm

Wow, I didn't realize hot the bottom part is going only about as high as that building on the corner. Interesting.

And what also will be interesting is to see how that new, glassy box contrasts with that little old brick building on the corner. It is classic old Philly. I hope it remains. I think the jumbled mix of funky old and crisp new is good. However, the old building sure could use a sprucing up, I mean my God, I don't think there's a square inch not in need of cleaning or repair!

Noticed that glass went up on the first residential floor today, above the garage on the Chestnut St. side. Not able to photograph it, but it looks good - blue/gray.

I believe I remember reading that the corner building and drug store will stay and be refurbished. Still no website for this tower.

More glass has been installed, plus the vertical grilles that separate the bands of windows. Glass color is actually black / gray and the grilles are a soft gold color. Tower will be glitzy.

Even though I like this building, why can't we get taller buildings built in Philly lately?
