Excellent, Erwin!

Particular commendation for affixing labels to your pictures, and you managed to name them although you were "just a visitor." I'm not very happy when people simply throw a bunch of photos at me without telling me what they're showing--place identification makes for better orientation.

@gatt (and I hope he'll come back to see his question answered): that's the Norman Foster cupola on top of the Reichstag building, the place where the German parliament meets. It's a wonderful experience walking up & down in the structure, and the views are superb.

THat is the dome of the Reichstag. It was reopened in the late 1990s if I am not mistaken. The building lay abandond after WWII. The Dome was destroyed when Hitler took power. For more detailed info you can look up Reichstag in wikipedia!

Went to Berlin a couple of years ago.....it's the best place I've ever been to!

I can't enthuse about the place highly enough, it just feels so right. So many different type of buildings, landscapes, monuments and the railway network is first class.

Going to go again next summer.
