Well the 70s was the last stylish decade, imo. The 80s had style, but questionable. Every decade since has been an attempt to strip things down to the point of sterility. 70s? Bring it on!

Agreed, the two are on a par at street level. But I would suggest Shangri-La is slightly better looking overall.

Yes, Shangri-la is BY FAR better looking at street level from the Ritz.. not to mention, the Ritz's entrance is AWAY from the street (even the tower is too), i find that pretty weak. They make too huge of a deal with the podium sticking out of the tower like a boot, I much prefer towers that rise atop their podiums ala Shangri-la.
