Westfield Heritage

I saw this place a couple of years ago. It's very interesting with all of the old original buildings. If you click on my handle I have some pics of them on my webshots page.

Anyhow, these orginal buildings were all moved to this park over the years.

For some reason I can't get the site up right now though.

It is worth going to see though. I would like to go see it again.

Of those who remember the old steam engine that was at Gage Park for many years was moved to this park.

It looks like this site isn't online at all now. But there are other sites one can see. It was a good site too. It is a nice place to visit anyhow.

I don't think any of these houses are original at all?
I think it was built purposely to resemble a pioneer village at the time?

When I was 6, our Grade 1 class took a trip here during March to take advantage of the Maple Syrup Harvest(?)! I got a mid-sized bottle and drank it on the way home! hahaha

Also, my neice was watching this show on YTV called Ghost Hunters or something and they actually make kids run around this place taking EMFs around pretending like these lil shacks were haunted hahaha

But if you like Maple Syrup, this is the place to check out (in early Spring/late Winter).

As far as I know the only building that isn't orginal is the one they use for the store. That was made to look like an old log house and was used by the RCMP. That building was orginally located at Parkdale Park.

I wished the site was working, it will give full info on each building.

You drank that whole syrup at once, whoa.

This site is back up and running again at Westfield Heritage Centre.

I'm tempted to check out their haunted halloween soon.

It would have been intersting watching them move them there. And you are admitting your age now The Dude.
