The picture gives a good overall view of the Sister site.

Official plans have been released for the Margaretta site on Clyde between Birmhingham and Brenton.

It will house 164 residential units, ground floor retail, and 255 parking spaces on three levels. The building will be shaped to form a central rooftop courtyard, with full lot coverage, a glass facade, and dark trim. Colour renderings are available below.

W.M. Fares and Banc Properties are planning to start construction in 2015 after work on the Mary-Anne nears completion.

Looks great. The renderings are of high quality as well. I love the last colour rendering showing the new building against a streetscape that looks essentially ghetto.

I would really love to see the 3rd site built at the same time as this one.

That pic looks great!

Someone send it to the designers/developers of that ugly 6399 North Street proposal...

This I'm quite impressed with and quite the unit count for a site that is really limited with a viewplane. This gives me hope that if someone wants to start buying up some of the older walk up apartment buildings in the south end (by Sobeys) and piece the land together, they could do something interesting.

This on the site of the strip mall where Blockbuster used to be would be a fantastic improvement around the Sobeys/Fenwick site.

Hell yes. That little nexus where all the streets link up feels like it should be the centre of that little micro-neighbourhood, but it's just a parking lot now.

I wouldn't want to see our remaining Victorian triple decker apartment buildings taken out, but that whole stretch of plain brown brick 60s buildings on Queen Street could go, and no tears would be shed, I'm sure.

The Mary-Anne is hidden from the traditional skyline shots thanks to Maritime Centre however it is visible from southern angles for now. The Alexander, when built, will partially block it.

I find it really odd the other Queen street spot is higher priority to do first

What do you mean? The next building planned is the Margaretta, and that is going on the Birmingham/Dresden Row lot. WM Fares bought both sites. I don't think the third site on Queen has been handed over to a developer yet.
