talk about a 600 foot condo no one, anywhere cares about. Including Toronto.

Haven't seen an update on this one in ages... moving as slow as a turtle too!

I might just walk by this one today to see whats up, but honestly, this might be the first 600 foot condo, even Caltrane is not interested in.

I guess, cause it's so boring looking. or there are a million other projects going on in this city that are far more interesting..

I care, I think it looks nice. But I know it's still in digging mode and is slow moving. I don't need constant updates of a hole. People will start talking about it when it's above ground. To quote Carey Price, "Just chill out".

We'll all be in nursing homes by the time that happens.

These guys started excavating last November, so far they're down about 1 foot, below ground.

Here's a recent-ish photo update by Philofra from Sept 11, 2011 on UrbanToronto:

Looks like they've made good progress since the last update. This lot is pretty massive.
I think right now (almost October), they should be almost finished with the excavation.

This is slow as molasses. I'll probably check back around new years.

Speak for yourself, I noticed these when the signs were going up around 2 years ago.

Actually, I think this really is a testament to the explosive growth going on in Toronto, that a substantial project like this is "lost in the pile" of all the other massive projects going on throughout the city and region. For most cities, this would be the premier project to look up to.

BTW, the "All about you" song in that video is a bit cheesy. They should redo it with a new mix... LOL

I think people here stopped caring when they realized the slug-like pace of this project precluded giving a damn more than once every six months or so.

No cranes yet. I stopped by the site today and it seems very little progress has been made since the last photos were posted.

The site seems to be dealing with, what looks like, a water issue. Most pictures that we have seen, there is water pooling on the site. You can see in the 3rd and 4th photos piping that is around the entire perimeter of the site and tubing that hangs down towards the bottom of the pit.

I was hoping to talk to someone and ask what the status of construction is, but everyone seemed too busy. Judging by the photos, I believe there is more pile driving to be done.

Still nowhere close to getting a crane. Going on 1 year and 2 months of excavation.
