Ryan McDonagh played 53:17 min yesterday which is the most in a game since Sergei Zubov and Brian Campbell in 2008.

Hmm. It seems rather improbable that the 8th seed now has / had a 3 - 0 lead on both the 1st and 2nd seed in the West.

Maybe the Kings can go all the way!

I suppose its pretty easy to say they are the surprise team of the playoff's (as opposed to Phoenix or Washington).

How hard would Bettman get if NY and LA played in the final? I'd love to see NJ and NY play in the east final too, that would be entertaining. Reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld...

Phoenix got lucky last night. Smith played a great game. I'll be at game five, so it might turn out that my first playoff game will also be a series-clincher.

Poor flyer fans, that ship's sinking faster than the and soon to be

That's their opportunity to win the cup passing them by in a year when most of the perennial favorites went down in the first round.

i hope the coyotes win so i can take a road trip to Phoenix for a game or 2!

The stapler was absolutely rocking today. im pretty sure the roof was going to pop off in the last 3 minutes. the kings looked great for the first 20 minutes and the last 10. the rest of the game was dominated by the blues. Quick was spectacular once again. i sincerely hope he wins the vezina (i know voting is done before the playoffs)

I always regretted D. Sutter being removed as the Flames' coach, and now I'm vindicated. Man this is deja vu (except the Kings are kicking the shit out of divisional champs, instead of barely scraping by). The fact that they knocked out the Canucks is just icing at this point.

The Sutters are good coaches for a short period of time but their message and demands get old on players afar quicker than with other coaches. It shouldnt be that way, but it is.

As is the case with the rest of the NHL coaches (except Lindy Ruff). In this day and age it seems like coaches just can't keep a hold on their team. Daryl Sutter's track record is actually pretty good. He had quite a few good seasons with the Sharks..albeit regular seasons, and was let go after one bad season. He lead Calgary to the two best seasons they've had in the last 17 years and left on his own. How long would the team have played well under him? Hard to say.

It's hard to say with Brent. He had two good seasons with the Devils and then left. He didn't make the playoffs in Calgary, but I don't really think it's the fault of the message being lost on the players, but more of a case of the team just not being good enough.

The Staples Center must be in top gear right now with both NBA teams and the kings in the playoffs. I imagine the scheduling is quite hectic, especially if the Lakers and Clippers make it to round 2, which looks quite likely at this point.

That also got me thinking; What if the Clippers and Lakers play each other in round 2?

A lot of Clippers fans would become wealthy selling their tickets to Lakers fans!

its been a lot of fun this last week. the city is buzzing! the Lakers and Clippers would play in round 3 if it gets that far. The NBA doesnt reseed like the NHL. We are all crossing our fingers for this matchup. The hallway series would be epic. Clippers fans hate the Lakers more than even celtics fans and Laker fans think the clippers are a cute little squad. The Clippers "home" games would be the ones to go to cause the crowd will be 50/50 and the atmosphere is really something to see.
