Wow wow is right, amazing set! I am usually more interested in skylines/buildings than people, but the way you captured these is stunning to me! I can see these photos being reference material for history books in the future, showing us to future generations. I feel like when I look through old Vancouver archives and see how they captured street life, this is just like that!

This is like the highest compliment I can receive. While I don't go out to specifically shoot "for the history books", I'm a huge fan of vintage street photography (Fred Herzog being a big influence), and I do hope that one day people can look to these photos as a detailed reference of a place and time long gone.
Thanks so much for letting me know what you think of when you see these photos, zahav.
Great shot! I know the Flats are just infill but I wonder if those rail lien could be burred and built over. Lots of prime land close to downtown that could be put to more use.

I doubt that'll happen within our lifetimes. Even Toronto's having a hard time approving a rail deck development project for a smaller piece of land that's already below the surface.
For Van, this would require putting the railway underground as phase 1, and then developing those lands as phase 2.
There's still so much space to be developed in Vancouver that I just don't see anyone getting on board with that kind of project with an astronomically expensive price tag.
