Foothills and Rocky Mountains South West of Calgary

We went to a farmers market at Millarville which is about 30 minutes southwest of Calgary. On the way back to Calgary, we took a small country road and stopped to look west at the fields, foothills and Rocky Mountains. and of course take a few pictures.

I adore the country south of the city. We are so lucky to have such a gorgeous backdrop. Thanks for the pics!

I agree. My wife and I have been so lucky as to have seen a fair amount of this planet, so much of which is amazing, but I never cease to be amazed at the beauty in my own back yard. We really are so fortunate to be so close to it.

Just hope we don't keep sprawling and eventually devour that landscape, lol...

Great pics, we are in a lovely little corner of the planet.

EDIT: Heck, with the exception of there not being a wetland in sight, these pics do the Alberta flag proud

The amazing thing is that a lot of the great new neighbourhoods in the west are starting to expand out so far that they have this view 24/7.

I agree fully. It would be an incalculable irretrievable loss!
