[Halifax] The Northwest (1388 Purcells Cove) | ? m | 12 fl | Completed

The usual cries of "it's too TALL!!!" are given a voice in this CBC article.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-s...-arm-1.4608066

I happened to drive by a few weeks ago and noticed the empty lot. I could not recall what was there before and judging from the photo in the article it was quite forgettable.

Looks like a great location for views of the arm and harbour entrance, based on the Google Maps 3D view of the location.

They use the proximity to Sir Sandford Fleming Park as a reason, but it's really much closer to the Armdale Yacht Club, so I suspect there's more at stake than being close to the Dingle.

We'll see how it plays out, I suppose...

I was by this property on the weekend. There is a tower crane erected on site.

Nice design. What stood out for me was the design in the bricks and the horizontal natural wood.

Nice looking building and they'll have great views. Shame about the large setback from the road and surface parking in the front yard.
