My trip to Prague - Czech Republic

I was in Prague for 3 days this past December and I had a fairly nice time overall. I was a bit disappointed by the complete lack of snow, but at least it did not rain while I was there.

I found Prague airport to be quite good and efficient, I had not problems with the currency exchange people as they were fairly honest and did not rip me off unlike in Poland. The transportation to the city was also good as there is a van which will take you for CZK 120 ($6) which is quite cheap

I was supposed to stay at the ibis hotel but since they were full they upgraded me to a 4 star hotel next door Hotel century old town and that was good.

Prague unfortunately has too many tourists and that usually really puts me off from visiting a city (that is why you will never see me in Venice or anywhere in Spain)

The city in itself is beautiful and there are plenty of places to see to keep you busy for a few days or more.

Great photos! I was in Prague in September, and it's probably the most beautiful city I've ever been to. It definitely lives on tourism today-- it seemed like every person walking down the street had a camera in hand. But who wouldn't want to take pics of such an amazing city?

Wonderful shots, pallo!

Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Central Europe. We enjoyed visiting it very much. Visiting Prague in Winter is amazing. We miss it too much...

Your views, I suppose first one was taken from Petrin observatory, are really very good. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Even though I can find touristyness annoying as well, I can definitely see why tourists love Prague. Such beautiful urbanity. I don't know why people go all apeshit over Venice, Rome, Barcelona, and Paris for their picturesqueness, romance, culture, and general beauty when cities like Prague, Berlin, Krakow, Copenhagen, Moscow, and Budapest have oodles of it as well, often without the high prices and annoying crowds. Even touristy places like Amsterdam seem to get overlooked by many because all one thinks of are kinky sexshops and marijuana (although it certainly doesn't stop Amsterdam from being touristy).

Two words: Love It!

You have so many spectacular photos. If I were you I'd blow some of these up as prints and frame them...
