Amazing new neighborhood though......and yes, I am jealous.

Would love to see a One St Thomas or Waldorf Estoria (Chicago) style building pop up down there but I don't see that happening. At least we're getting some white thrown in the mix.

Definitely. Introducing stone or brick for diversities sake isn't an answer. It always looks fake when they attempt to make a new neighbourhood that has sprung up overnight to one that has been built out over several generations.

That would stand out like a sore thumb. Give it time. There should be a greater appreciation for some of the tower designs once glass goes out of style. There are many neighbourhoods built from the same materials and colour palette. You don't ever here about those from a cladding standpoint.

There is still enough concrete down there from the 70's and 80's where I feel like adding a new precast or stone tower could work and not stick out at all..

Glass is fine, but there needs to be something in the gold/red/orange part of the color spectrum perhaps... blue and green are too common.

A black tower would look nice as well.

Envious indeed. Agreed: different colors are needed.

A traditional style would definitely stick out. A modern style may blend in more but, I don't think one precast or a contrasting coloured glass tower would compliment all the low E glass already built. Then again, I don't really have a problem with uniformity in colour and glass. Maybe it's the German in me. It represents its era well. The street level will develop more character over time.

Nice glazing on Stantec, even if the colour is pedestrian.

It's not just the colour that is pedestrian. Overall, It's not bad. Good job colour matching the spandrel. It's just not Kelly Ramsey/Enbridge Centre quality which is the minimum above pedestrian nowadays.

I'm looking forward to a big office project starting here.

And I don't mean 16 York.

16 York is only 32 floors and 879,000 sq feet so I doubt many on here would confuse it with a big office project. It's barely the largest on its street. Globally it only qualifies as filler.

Globally is a pretty pointless metric. For Toronto, 900,000 square feet is a sizable chunk of space. It's large to humongous for the rest of Canada. It's not small or insignificant filler by any reasonable means. I think you're overestimating the number of million plus square foot towers in the city through your obsession with height.

900,000 square feet is like a third of the office space in Regina.

To a developer it's a big office building but for people who's world stretches beyond Canada it won't register one iota. 50% of your posts to me consist of how you are right and I'm wrong. True to form you couldn't resist taking a swipe before you stopped typing. You actually managed to take 2 swipes in one paragraph. Congratulations.

And why do you keep responding when I've told you multiple times not to converse with me? Your opinion stopped mattering to me 4 years ago.
