The middle one along St-Joseph marked as under construction is the only one that they've applied for, and it is indeed 6 floors. I have no idea when Brigil plans to actually start it.

Thanks for posting. It's very difficult to find anything with the City of Gatineau.

As I don't read french, even more so. It would be nice to see a comprehensive visual plan...Its such a prime location that you could do a ton with.

Where on the development is this going?

Along St-Joseph in between the two parking lot entrances.

There's also a development planned on the northern parking lot along St-Raymond, but they haven't applied for that one as far as I know.

Any idea if this will be right up against the sidewalk or are we morphing this property into a bunch of boxes in a parking lot ( )

Ah...see the proposal was posted...hope there is some height variation. The way they have the trees along St Joseph...will their be street facing signage and entrances, one of the proposed drawings makes it look like there would not be..shame...extending the 'main street' would be nice. Just need to destrip the plaza across the street too. Destrip all the strips!

Can the Canevas and the Galeries de Hull threads not be in the same subforum?

Some news:

That would look better than the current parking lot.

I will say it again. St. Joseph from St. Raymond to Allumettières could be the next Westboro.

Maybe.

Agreed. The area has good bones. Lots of potential.

Makes more sense than Eastboro, a suburban wasteland off Navan Road.

It'll be nice to have something other than that dismal-looking parking lot there, but at the same time, it would have been nice to be able to appreciate the 2-years-in-the-making reconstructed Saint-Joseph Blvd before all the construction equipment wrecks it again.

There's been nice midrises proposed for the KFC and the old patate Chez Réjean, I hope they get built in the near future.
