The Generator Sea Container is directly behind my backyard, and I am rather Irritated that they put it there. There is lots of room on the site to put it that wouldn't directly interfere with the yards south of the site.
Besides that, I have been collecting a ton of pictures, and will continue to do so as the phases of this property are worked on.
I have lots more, and will put them up this weekend...
Sorry with how the pics I shared above appear...I wonder if there is an alternative to Photobucket? At least from Bradnixon's pictures, I can look at the back of my house from another vantage point...lol.
Admins should be changing this one to U/C, as I am sure they are going to get the rest of the pit dug out this week, and start doing forms for the underground garage that will take up most of the site...

The building is basically topped out now, with the exception of the little mechanical unit on the roof. Crazy to think how fast this went up, especially given the size of its footprint!
I have a bunch of more pictures of this, and I can confirm that they are now digging the start of the pit for phase 2, as they drove pilings for it along Brookfield last week.
Woah, that is already looking quite big and I like it! As someone who went to Brookfield High School just down the road, I always thought that parking lot was a prime location for something to go up. Excited to see this keep moving forward. Thanks for the pic @RogueNacho.
They are doing preparations for the 2nd phase already. A LOT of earth was removed off the surface of the east side of the property, and I think that was to take it to be sanitized. It is my understanding that there is still contaminated soil and things buried there that would have Lead and Asbestos and other construction materials. The developer, as well as the General Contractor had a brownfield grant/agreement with the city, and that is what has helped get it moving so fast.
I wonder if they're racing to complete the project in time for Carleton students to move in when the O-Train is back up and running in 2022.
Has there been any plans released for better accessibility to the Confederation Heights O-Train station, or will everyone in these buildings be cutting through Canada Post parking lots to get there?

Probably the latter! I know they are planning to light the pathway to Brookfield, but it will be much more direct for the residents here to cut through the Canada Post parking lot. The east driveway in the CPC complex really needs a sidewalk.
I also found these high quality renders of the project. Occupancy of Phase I expected to be ready for Fall 2021. Note that the images are slightly different than the previously posted plans.
This is a pretty nice development. Dense, relatively pleasing to the eye and good use of space.
We all know this space (around Billings/Confederation Heights) has a lot of dead/open space (including surface parking) so seeing more developments and infill in this area will be great.
Are these geared for student residents for Carleton?

My main concern for this, aside from having to trek across open parking lots for train service, is the lack of a grocery store in the area. We'll see if they actually come through with the grocery component on-site.
