The Great "What and Where in Lower Mainland?" Photo Challenge
For some time now I have had on my mind to start a new thread where people are to guess what is in a photo and where it has been taken from.

Rules of this thread:
- Only one photo being guessed at any one time. New photo can only be posted once someone correctly identifies the current one.
- Original poster of the photo may amend current photo with other photos for extra hints.
- Only one guess per reply and forumer at any one time.

Let's go! What is in this photo and where in Lower Mainland has this photo been taken from?

Baker from just NW of the Nelson overpass over 91?

Edit: Specifically I'm thinking Cambie and 8 Road? I go running there and couldn't remember which cross street it was.

Yup. Both guessed in under an hour - guess they need to be more challenging.

BTW, what's the story on the dome, seems like it has been forgotten as it could be an interesting space that is just "there".

Point Roberts from White Rock beach, just north of the pier?Hmmm, after looking at the picture again, I realize you couldn't quite get that view from WR, so I'm changing the guess to Crescent Beach (still Point Roberts).

How about this fresh photo? The what should be easy, but where was this taken from?

From Queensborough looking to the Quay and to uptown New West. Or taken from north Surrey or that north eastern tip of Richmond.

Looks like the eastern edge of Poplar Island (trees) while facing New West from the southwest. Photo taken from Queensborough.

But it doesn't quite add up there...

This was the exactly correct answer, btw.

To Pinion's photo, that looks awfully lot like Ioco with Burnaby Mountain on the other side of the water.
