I mentioned this proposal last year but never released any renderings because it kept getting redesigned. This is going to the city within a couple months.

It's immediately east of the Toronto Reference Library, and will be a red iron-spot brick to complement its neighbours on both sides. A 5 floor podium will contain "institutional uses" (an international school I believe), with 32 floors of condos above. 720sm floorplates, all unit sizes from 900-1800sf (excluding penthouses) and double-height.
122m building height to mech penthouse.

Exciting news for Downtown Edmonton... the Healy Ford redevelopment looks like it is getting back into motion.

Nice. Is the short curved section just the existing apartment building?

Pre-sales starting for TDC3

http://tourdescanadiens.com/

I was told that this would happen early 2018, so this comes as a nice surprise.

I could quite like that if they could lose (or extend to the ground) that overhanging bit on the left side of the render. I find it awkward looking.

I like it. Or at least I like the rendering. It will have a huge effect when seen from Place D'armes on st-jacques street.

Yeah I don't understand why it's all symmetrical except for that part.

Overhang or no overhang, it's just more of the same, deco inspired, glass garbage found all across Canada.

Is it Kirkor? It looks like Kirkor

I think it's still a step up from projects like Celsius.

The 217 Adelaide proposal is comically bad.

The website has better images. The details are like 36 Hazelton. I'm going to change and say Page+Steele (they also designed the developers last one)

Jeesh.....it does remind me a lot of Kirkor....it looks okay on paper but in real life...I'm not sure about that. Strange to have that metre or so of the building protrude from the side. Is the bottom supposed to be office use? it looks like the building ate some office building then tried to recreate it with it's girth at the bottom.

The architect/developer have multiple projects underway, this will likely go, but not tomorrow.
