I think we're confusing lots here. 157 w57th is a large lot, but the building will rise fast. 225 w57th, which is the site of the demo, is one tiny piece of a lot bigger than 157, so no, it has a long way to go.

Great to see a crane in place, now this one can proceed vertical.

I have a really hard time believing there will be a second crane. This is an all concrete building, so, much like Gehry, this will be done with a single crane lifting rebar and form work.

I'd be willing to bet money there won't be a second crane. The site is barely wide enough to support even one. Whoever started the second crane speculation just posed a question (with a pretty obvious answer IMO), and not any sort of reliable information or even a rumor.

I agree, the curtain wall's ability to relfect the sky is amazing. Don't know what this guy is thinking but to each their own.

With this tower being a supertall, I'm sure another tower crane will rise soon.

Second Crane

There will absolutely be a 2nd crane erected at some point in the future. The building sets back about 40 feet, making it near impossible for the crane ties to reach from the building to the crane to stabilize the crane.
