Just curious about why you selected those five buildings only. As others have mentioned, the David Stott and Book Towers are also noteworthy designs. I would also have included (but not voted for) the RenCen so those who like modern/brutalist projects would have something on the list.

It is very hard to select a single building out of the three 1920s towers.

The Fisher has amazing details and decorations (too bad only 1/3 of it was built).

The Guardian is Art Deco on steroids (but overall shape is not as good).

The Penobscot was very modern for its time and may have influenced ESB.

I voted for Penobscot but I could of voted for any of them.

Of the post-modern towers, I like the Comerica better than the 150 W. Jefferson.

At least when I saw this poll, there were only pictures of the older buildings. Just to make things "fair", here are some shots I took of some of the buildings:

150 W. Jefferson (Madden Bldg.)

(I took this picture)

One Detroit Center (Comerica Tower)

(I took this picture)

Fisher Building (the previous picture showed only part of the building):

Even with the skybridge, this is still my favorite (along w/Stott, which isn't on the poll).

Guardian has always been my favorite. Penobscot, Fisher, and Book Tower aren't far behind though.
