Because she is seen as the one (along with Nenshi) pushing the whole bike lane and art agenda instead of just allowing for jacked up pick-ups everywhere. I think she has done a great job personally, and if she was in my ward I would vote for her.

But that's the problem, the bike lanes are getting lots of hype, but I'm still not convinced they're worth the money. As far as art goes. The Beaufort towers speak for themselves, if you're anyone tied that shit heap, you're going to look bad. Some art is good, but the city pushing it and making it mandatory is the reason that shit art has been showing up. That falls on Nenshi and Druh.

How exactly does that "fall on Nenshi and Druh"???

I think support of the arts, such as the performance arts and music, those are critical things for people to think about when they cast their ballot.

And given this is a construction thread, here's a great article on cSPACE, Calgary's spectacular new arts asset. Kudos to all who were involved with this great new space!

The cSPACE theatre and arts venue is now home to more than 30 art and studio spaces
