I love how most of the skyscrapers in Montreal's downtown core are unique, high quality buildings. Not just a forest of glass boxes.

According to the plans, there should be 4 floors at the top without balconies on the south side (30, 31, 32, 33). 30 and 31 are built, so that leaves 32 and 33. Of course in reality, this is a 32 floor building since there is no 13th floor, so 30 floors of 32 have actually been built. There will also be what looks like a mechancial floor on the roof as well as the ornament.
Interesting, so that makes this building's floor plates on average 3.8-3.9m tall (124 / 32). Quite unusual, I wish all residential buildings did this, that would make the new mariott 155m tall!

As a big fan of everything Montreal except les Habs, I am really happy to see Mtl. rolling again in the building department.

^ I took the original size of that photo, cropped it and played around with the colours a bit. It fits in quite nicely!

From this afternoon. I like the look of the tower from University above Cathcart, I also like it when viewed from Cathcart, but most other angles, it does not look great!
