A question?

What happened to STR? I remembered that he was the guy who would make stunning renders of the WTC and other projects in New York. Along with Zen,he would post great info on how this would all look like when finished. Not to say that Carlos and the others guys aren't keeping us up to date with 1 WTC,but out of the two that used to post here, STR is still here. Just saying. To move on to other things, glad that steel is finally coming up again.

So let's see, if they add new steel and the columns are about 40' tall the next steel columns should hit close to 1,180'. It will really be something once it tops out in the spring. Empire State Building look out, the World Trade Center is back in town

The skyline would be improved if those ugly blocks at the tip of manhattan were re-clad in glass or better, demolished. At least they kept most of the oldies, but the new blocks ruin it. I'm hoping that more glass buildings are built to balance out and modernize the heavy look of concrete and stone.

One of those boxes, 55 water street, is one of the largest (not tallest) office buildings in the world, isn't it?

Damn, they really could have made the lobby just a little more glamorous and lively... place will look like a columbarium.

White tiles would do the lobby a bit more justice; but it ain't that bad.

Are you one of those NY'ers who can't tolerate any criticism of your city? What a silly response. You must adore 60's concrete behemoths.
