Incredible. Monumental. Bigger and badder than Cuba? Or is it just the ceremonies honoring the fallen dictator and establishing the new dictator?
Love the classroom pic with the one guy looking back at you.

Been downtown lately? I thought they looked scared in some sense, or like it was an episode of The Twilight Zone. Course we're all living in TTZ.

AMAZING!

They could film a sci-fi movie there.

I don't know if it was your goal but you really captured the despair in the people shots - it's palpable no matter how hard they try to feign it.

These are the best photos of North Korea I've ever seen, here or anywhere else.

Dude, this thread is something special. A visual tour de force rarely seen on SSP.

I've always wanted to go to NK, but the thought of supporting that regime with my tourist dollars has kept me away. Not judging you or anyone else that has gone to this fascinating social experiment, of course. honestly, I'll most likely let my idealism slide, and go at some point.

I would just love to go to North Korea and check it out.

Time to go over those pictures again.

Outstanding and that's an understatement...

I'm surprised a country that's had so many sanctions on it for so long isn't completely crumbling. It's quite telling, that a city of that size has so many people staring at someone taking a picture (the escalator for example). Is there a lack of cameras around (forbidden maybe) or perhaps very few white people???

Perhaps with less propaganda (maybe not?), but this must be similar to what someone from North America or Western Europe or Down Under would've seen in a place like Moscow or Kiev in 1963.

Fantastic photos. I don't recall seeing such an extensive tour of Pyongyang.

Beautiful pictures. You've brought poetry to a country that seemingly lacks it.
