Atlanta breaks ground on Proctor Creek Greenway

https://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/...-greenway.html
Quote:
Atlanta officials broke ground Thursday on the $11.5 million Proctor Creek Greenway, a seven-mile bike and pedestrian trail that will connect the Bankhead MARTA station and the Atlanta Beltline's Westside Trail.

When completed, the project will feature 50 acres of linear park and 400 acres of green space running from the city's Maddox Park to the Chattahoochee River.

Peachtree creek greenway could start next year, too. "As soon as february". It's the northeast fork up toward doraville.

I stayed up way too late reading over this and was stunned when I saw those two massive new parks as a part of the plan. Amazing!

That park appears to be a nice small addition. Broad street and downtown is going to be an amazing neighborhood frequented by all. I cannot wait for more to recognize downtown for the great neighborhood it is and will grow to be.

Thanks for the pics! I saw the fences up two weeks ago but wasn't sure what they were doing there. Broad street is a great asset for downtown and it's getting even better.
