Well hopefully your paper isn't due tomorrow...

I only have the facts you probably already know: Completed in 1974, it's 1,454 feet tall, world's tallest until 1998, etc.

I do know that Sears is technically 9 'cluster towers' which all are 75 feet square. All but 2 of the 9 stop at setbacks as the building goes higher

Okay I'm done. Maybe you could post a quick question about Sears into the Chicago construction thread or the Spire thread to really get some of those Chi-forumers attention for some good sources/info.

You do realize there are probably only like a single digit numbers of females that frequent this site out of thousands of other males straight or gay.

I could count on one hand how many female forumers I know of on SSP.

If you are counting and including the female portion of forumers around here it seems to me you are in real dire straits and a major procrastinator to boot.

Anyway good luck with you project.

the security at the sears tower is intense. worse than an airport. unlikely you'll find blueprints or very many floor plans floating around the internet.

You must not have looked very hard. Floorplans are available in the first link that comes up with google typing in "Sears Tower," which is the official website http://www.searstower.com/. Then by clicking on "Leasing Info". It shows many floor plans by clicking on "detail". The "Large User" option has entire floorplans for pretty much every shape of the tower's floorplan.

I am sure that if you researched some architecture journals from the early 70's, you may be able to find some more detailed plans there as well. I would say that that would also probably be your only chance to find some building sections of the tower, as I doubt those are on the web.
