From what I can tell, they have added vertical steel. And, prior to that there was scaffolding set up I suppose to allow the workers to fix the cracks in the steel.

The top of CTC looks the same from my vantage point, but the crane has been super active the last two days:

It's hard to imagine that the tower originally known as the IVB Tower was the largest office tower by space in the city in the early 70's. It's the one seen between 1818 Market (with Beneficial om it) and One Liberty.

It would be nice if they had tours to the top of the spire like we have here in Chicago with the Sears and Hancock as tourist attractions!
Note we do not have spires!

Good job philly keep that skyline growing!

They would make more money if it was used as an observation deck and charge extra for the spire but what do i know!

Regardless it's a nice building and it fits nicely on the skyline!

I don't know if the spire is really the type of thing you could "tour" if it has cooling towers in it. I would love an observation deck up there, but Liberty Place will do.

on the right side of the cooling tower there are some kind of vertical spikes or something sticking out of the framing, have they been there all along or is that the beginning of the second section of the cooling towers?

Edit: never mind, just went back & saw they were already there in late August. Wishful thinking

^ You know spiders are architects them selves building webs. They probably enjoy the work of Lord Fosters tower.
