That obviously is the most important but my point was that the spiral effect is currently skewed. A 975', 1145', 1275' building leading up to a 1400' building doesn't really make an even spiral, It just looks weird in the renderings (In which granted, they almost always show tower 4 too small) but still.

Even if there aren't any significant height changes, which there probably couldn't be at this point they could at least have it go down by a set height, If 1 WTC's main bulk is about 1,400' then the roof of Tower 2 should be maybe 1,300' (The little see through triangle doesn't really make it a solid 1300 footer IMO) the roof of Tower 3 should be 1,200 and Tower 4 should be 1,100, if not 1100 at least in the 1000's.

Just my two cents, I'm sure the towers will look fine once built but I think we all just wish they were even slightly taller. We didn't lose great architecture, but we lost monstrous height, something that won't truly be replaced in this plan. It'll come close but coming close shouldn't cut it.

Well, thank you for your two cents. But this is an issue that has long been resolved. You may still be troubled by it, but you'll just have to wait to see how it all plays out. As I've stated, the issue now is when these towers will get built, not if larger versions can or cannot be built.

I am not going to bitch much because it will still be the same height as the Comcast Tower in Philly which is very impressive.

Towers 2 & 3 are scheduled to be taller than the ESB's roof height of 1,250ft, but not taller than its pinnacle height of 1,454ft. Antennas of course are not included in a building's official height.

No, Tower 3 will be 378m or 1,240ft tall, that´s lower than the ESB´s roof. Tower 3 will stand as the fourth tallest in the city.

Yea, there was talk of making Tower 3 slightly taller like 100 feet, but that was only if a certain company were to have leased space in it. Hopefully it could still, although that might mess up the spiral effect. I think we should just stick to the 1240 figure now.

Merrill at this point is moving most of its Manhattan operations to One Bryant Park, with still the majority of its headquarters located in 2 and 4 World Financial Center. Whether or not they remain there after their lease is up in a couple years, there is no intention on their end to move into the World Trade Center.

(Tower 2 possibly 1,350-1,360 feet in pinnacle, 1,270 feet in rooftop), (Tower 3 1,240 - 1,255 Feet w/ 4 Antennas, 1,155 Feet in rooftop), and (Tower 4 will be 975 Feet in rooftop and in pinnacle).

Never said there was. That's why I said we should stick with the 1150 figure for the tower.

But very hopefully by the time it's built maybe there will be anough demand to boost it's height a little, and the height of tower 2, it could happen but I'm mostly dreaming.

We already know the "fate". What we need is a schedule.

It's pretty much impossible for them to not be built eventually.

Yea, so we will fin out very soon when they exactly will be built. I mean I was worried for a while because of the whole PA's plan to put retail stumps although that does not seem at all likely.

Not only unlikely, but if the stumps were built, they would be temporary until the financing for the rest of the site was secured.

They are just waiting for a decision now.
